TDFC proposes techniques that
allow for the removal of the
suspended solids (organic as
well as inorganic) from the
water and for the refining of
the treatment process in order
to achieve a final fine-removal
of the pollutants. These
techniques are high-pressure
sand filtration and
carbon-activated absorption
towers.
Sand filtration occurs under
high-pressure on a multi-layer
filter bed. Filtering media
specific for each layer assure
complete removal and easy
backwashing operation. The
system is completely automatic
and self-cleaning, in order to
guarantee the |

highest operational
reliability. For further removal of organic
pollutants, TDFC employs
absorption towers. In these
devices organic compounds are
absorbed by the surface carbon
granules and thus removed from
the water. |
